Following its success at Kingston Hospital, Momentum is fundraising to support children with cancer at St George’s Hospital.

Momentum was set up in 2004 by parents of children undergoing treatment for cancer, with the simple goal of trying to help others in similar circumstances. It supports families affected by cancer in the following ways:

• Through the provision of equipment and the improvement of the facilities in local hospitals, where children undergoing cancer treatment will typically spend prolonged periods.
• By organising events at which children with cancer and their siblings have the opportunity to meet with other children who share their circumstances.
• By offering mutual support for parents and families.

Our partnership with Momentum is in its early stages and we are pleased to have made a number of referrals to their family support service. We look forward to our partnership growing over the coming year.
