We would like to give a big thank you to all our supporters who have donated Easter eggs to the patients here at St George’s Hospital over the past week.
Our first donation came on Tuesday from the good eggs at the Shri Sathya Sai Service Organisation. They were dropped off in the early hours of the morning by Aberamy, who works here at St George’s at the Maxiofacial Unit. On Wednesday we were paid a visit by the women’s section of the local Ahmadi Muslim Community. Finally this morning, Laura from Virgin Active in Wimbledon delivered three bin bags filled with eggs – all of which were kindly donated by their customers at the gym over the past couple of weeks.
They were split evenly between the children on the paediatric wards and some of our older patients on the Care of the Elderly wards. When our office administrator Katy delivered a load to senior sister Amanda on Heberden ward she was delighted remarking ‘Wow, there are so many, I’m sure our patients will be eggstatic!’
Once again we would like to thank all those who made donations, both financial and chocolate related, over the Easter period!
